Headwaters MB advised EPM Mining Ventures Inc. (“EPM”), a development stage mining company focused on specialty fertilizers, in closing an CAD $85 million combined pre-production and development equity private placement with EMR Capital Resources Fund. Investment proceeds will be used to accelerate the development of the Company’s sulphate potash project at the Sevier Lake Playa in Utah.
“Headwaters exceeded our most optimistic expectations," said Lance D’Ambrosio, Chief Executive Officer of EPM. "They structured and negotiated the term sheet with EMR Capital for a highly unusual, combined pre-production and development equity finance package.“
Headwaters Managing Director Ricardo Campoy added, "In the context of the prevailing lackluster capital markets for resource companies, this financing affirms that world-class minerals assets with competitive economics, still have access to capital.”
