Arthur Bentley, Managing Director joined Headwaters MB in January 2016 to lead the new Agribusiness Vertical. He brings with him over 20 years of investment banking and corporate operating experience. Arthur has served as the lead banker or a principal investor on a number merger and acquisition, and financing transactions - successfully closing over 50 transactions with an aggregate transaction value of $14.5 billion.
Prior to Headwaters', Arthur spent over two years at AgriCapital. Before that Arthur was Director of Business Development at H. J. Baker & Bro., Inc. a privately held global agribusiness company focused on animal feed, fertilizer and sulphur. Earlier in his career he spent 7+ years with GE Capital acquiring companies and portfolios for the GE Company and in a variety of commercial finance roles involving energy finance, capital funding, equipment finance and structured finance. During his 20+ years in the financial services industry Arthur has served in merger and acquisition advisory roles with WestMerchant Bank, The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank and at AgriCapital.
Arthur grew up on a family farm in upstate New York; received his BA in History from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, NY and an MBA in Finance/International Business from Syracuse University. An Army ROTC Scholarship recipient he served for more than 11 years in the United States Army Reserve as an Infantry Officer, ultimately earning the rank of Captain.
