Don Warriner, Managing Director, joined Headwaters in 2010. For the last 15 years, Don has personally focused on software and technology opportunities. Don founded VentureWest Partners LLC immediately after leaving I.B.M. in 2001. VentureWest, a financial advisory firm, focused on M & A and capital formation for technology and software companies with emphasis on healthcare. In addition, the firm transacted a number of distressed turnaround financings. During that time, Don was also a co-founder and Chairman of EZ Healthcare West, a company focused on EMR (Electronic Medical Records). Prior to that, Don spent 2 years as a Senior Executive in Global Services with IBM and 5 years as the CEO of Data National, an automotive database company, which was acquired by an Ernst and Young company. Previously, he was a co-founder of Bainbridge International Holdings, a merchant bank that made investments in consumer product manufacturing companies. He began his career in public accounting and after twelve years joined the investment banking firm of PaineWebber.
Mr. Warriner received an MBA degree from the University of Colorado at Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
