Gen. Scofield is a retired (1996) three-star General who was previously the commander of Aeronautical Systems Center and Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

His distinguished 35-year Air Force career included twelve years as a pilot. Hewas the Air Force’s Gray Eagle (the Air Force aviator with the longest active rated service) his last two years on active duty.

He served as program director for two massive aircraft development programs, helping bring both the F-117 stealth fighter and B-2 advanced technology bomber to reality. Following his Air Force career, he served in executive positions with GenCorp Aerojet and has remained a consultant to the Air Force and the aerospace industry. He is also Senior Advisor to the Air Force Research Laboratory regarding Directed Energy and Manufacturing Technology programs.

Gen. Scofield is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, holds an M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Oklahoma University.
